“apportionment” diagrams. Their purpose was to record the proportion of
signalling maintenance costs payable by each company/organisation at junctions and private
sidings where other companies were involved in working traffic. Most of the diagrams are
comprehensive in track layout and positions of signals, etc., a few less so. Sizes vary, but
most are approx. 28” x 12” when folded. Condition generally good, but with the odd tear
and Sellotape repair. Dates vary from late 1930s - 1950s with one or two 1960s examples.
